Now unusual as it may seem Cad has something to say about this subject. First off Cad doesn't buy into all this knee jerk green crap, sprouted by so called intellectuals, grant chasing scientists, politicians, blinkered greens and other arses.
Cad would just like to make it quite clear that every effort should be made not to cause unnecessary pollution, and where economically possible things should be recycled, machinery power stations and vehicles must be made more efficient. It's no good pinning the blame on the man, or woman in the street, then punishing them with stupid meaningless taxation. This is, but a ploy by government to fleece and control the masses. Instead real pressure needs to be applied to the big four polluting nations India, Russia, China and America, how this can be achieved is anyone's guess? As there is little, or no political will to do so.
C02 produced by man is not the problem either, for it only really amounts to 1% (figure includes grazing animals) of the total annual co2 output, the rest comes from the planet IE trees, plants, oceans, volcano's etc. This is fact, ask any scientist who is not chasing government funding. To understand the cause you have to look at geology and Earths time line. Ice cores and sedimentary layers, not the exhaust pipes of cars! The earths climate has always changed and to the most part it does so in cycles, they can happen very quickly indeed, look at the last ice age (12000 ish years ago) Europe was covered in sheet ice in less than a year! First the planet heated up, then it froze. We are over due in this cycle, in truth Cad fears we are experiencing this cycle now. We are also well over due a major (life altering) meteor strike, the plant gets hit every half a million years, or so by a rock a mile wide, or bigger, this triggers tidal waves, Global firestorms then nuclear winter. Closer to home Yellow Stone (worlds larges active volcano) is well over due to blow. The mouth of this volcano is some 200 miles wide!
So Cad what's your point? Well just as the last two things cannot be controlled by man, so to climate change. Yes look after the planet, clean up, look for ways to improve air quality, and protect wild life (all life) educate the masses. Running round in blind panic sprouting green this and CO2 tax that is not the answer.
Just Cads humble opinion.

A fine opinion too! I agree, we should all look after the planet! I often ride my bicycle (complete with wicker basket), and walking does the soul a great deal of good. Methinks.
